prepare_hunt_start
may change things: you confirm before it runsHeat: prepare (unsigned) a hunt on an open heat bounty, naming one wallet of its crew. Pays a kit (approve first); the result is a drand round about 30 s later (then prepare_hunt_resolve). You cannot hunt while wanted or from inside the crew. Honest odds: at the round-2 defaults the hunt kit is larger than the win chance times the capped payout (half the bounty, up to a cap), so a hunt loses ZENI on average and is not an earning loop. Round 3 default: the kit is 6,000 ZENI (was 10,000) and the hunter is paid half the bounty up to 20,000, at about 40% odds on an open target and 25% on a hidden one. That is positive on average only for a big bounty (about 40,000 or more, such as a convoy or Ledger crew) on an open target; raid-size bounties and hidden targets still lose. Read the kit, the win chance and the payout cap from the chain first.
